Antonette Tarbay, Bethel Resident, Dies at 89

Darby is described as a "loving wife, aunt and sister."

Antonette (D'Addario) Tarbay, 89, of Bethel, passed away peacefully Nov.11, 2012, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on Jan. 18, 1923, in Ridgefield, Connecticut, the daughter of Virginia (DiCamillo) and Frank D'Addario. She graduated from Ridgefield High School in 1941.

Antonette is survived by her husband of 49 years, Stephen Tarbay. She is also survived by her brother Dominic D'Addario and his wife Mary, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Josephine Mecozzi.

Antonette worked for many years as a bookkeeper at Merklin Insurance in Danbury. A loving wife, aunt and sister, Auntie will always be remembered for her kind and generous heart, her delicious cooking and baking skills, and her wonderful sewing ability.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Antonette's name to Saint Mary's Parish, 26 Dodgingtown Road, Bethel, Connecticut, 06801.
