Elizabeth (Cher) Todd, age 96, of Bethel, died Friday, May 3, 2013 at Bethel Health Care.
She was born in New York City, Dec. 6, 1916, daughter of the late Stephen P. and Rose M. (Houdec) Cher, moving to the Plumtrees District in Bethel at the age of 3. She was employed by SNET in Danbury for 28 years, retiring in 1973 as Junior Supervisor, overseeing the switchboard operators. Upon her retirement, she spent her winter months in Lantana, FL. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Bethel and a member of the SNET Pioneers Group.
Elizabeth is survived by one son, John S. Todd of Bethel; two daughters, Maureen T. O’Connor of Port Charlotte, FL, and Michele P. Payuk of Fort Pierce, FL; a sister, Rose Parrack of Port Orange, FL; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 95 Greenwood Ave., Bethel, CT 06801
The funeral service will be held at St. Thomas, Episcopal Church, Bethel, Friday at a time to be announced. Burial will be at a later date in Elmwood Cemetery, Bethel.

The family will receive friends at the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Ave., Bethel, Thursday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
