Bethel Blooms was a huge success for Newtown-Bound Bears & Beyond!

The Bethel Blooms event had a great turnout, and Newtown-Bound Bears & Beyond was there to spread the word about their charity! Many generous people donated and offered some very kind words!

Yesterday morning, the town of Bethel held it's 2nd annual Bethel Blooms event.  Due to the cold weather, it was moved indoors.  Which didn't stop everyone from stopping by to support local vendors and organizations!!  There truly was something for everyone.

NBB&B arrived early to set up an awesome green and white decorated table, with ribbons, note cards, lollipops, and a free raffle.  And the response from the people who came to support the event was absolutely amazing.  So many people were surprised to hear about this charity since Facebook has been its primary source of advertising, and the word is quickly being spread around town and beyond about what the program does.  By the end of the day, over $150 had been donated to NBB&B by some generous and wonderful people.  These donations are going to be split into a gas/travel expense fund and a stuffed animal purchasing fund.  So a huge thank you goes out to every person who stopped by the table to check us out and to offer such generous donations and even more generous kind words!  Keep your eyes peeled for donation boxes which we will be setting up in several locations around town.  By the end of the week, there will be one at Karate America on Greenwood Avenue (thanks to George Chaber!) and the Sycamore Restaurant (thanks to Kathy Austin & family!).  We are seeking donations of any new stuffed animals with tags attached to be added to our upcoming deliveries, our stock has just run out, which is absolutely amazing!  Please share the word with friends; every bear honors the memory of the 20 Newtown angels and provides comfort to a child in need.  Our upcoming deliveries include Yale-New Haven Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House of New Haven.  As always, we are honored to have the opportunity to meet wonderful people and be a part of something that is truly making a difference on so many levels!! Love Wins!!
