100 Bears And Other Stuffed Animals Delivered to Connecticut Children's Medical Center!

3 months after 12/14/12,' N.B.B.& B. ' brought over 100 stuffed animals to CCMC in Hartford which will provide A LOT of comfort to emergency room patients as well as the heroic long-term patients.

On March 14, exactly three months after the tragic event at Sandy Hook Elementary School, Newtown-Bound Bears & Beyond made our largest delivery yet!  Over 100 bears and other large stuffed friends were delivered to the Connecticut Childrens' Medical Center in Hartford, CT.  We also brought along a beautiful, soft and cuddly oversized bunny (with an oversized bow, of course!) to be put on display at the entrance for all to see!  These animals will be given to children who end up coming into their emergency room, and also the heroic kids who must spend a lengthy amount of time receiving treatment as an inpatient.  In special situations, these bears are also given to the siblings of their patients.

On our drive home, we drove past Dickinson Drive in Sandy Hook and stopped for a moment of silence at the closed-off road. Many people had left beautiful flowers, ribbons, and other items on and around the sign post where the wooden sign reading "Sandy Hook Elementary School" once hung.  Very emotional and tough to hold back tears.

On a more positive note, (since our organization is one based upon hope and love!), one of our next upcoming deliveries in the works is to St. Mary's Hospital's Children's and Family Health Center in Waterbury, CT.

Please consider joining with some co-workers to donate a small amount of bears to help us keep the Newtown childrens' memories burning bright and to continue to provide happiness to children who are in need of some extra comfort!!

Also, we are looking for a local company who might be willing to print up some posters/signs to hang in public locations in order to promote our mission.  We would be grateful for any sort of help!!
