Be the best you you can be by tapping into your intuition!

Believing in something intangible can be hard; but what if it was easy?

What is intuition?

Intuition is something we are born with.  It's part of our physiological makeup.  It not only adds to who we are, it's an integral part of our entire existence.  Yet, we don't always call it intuition.  According to the Encarta dictionary, intuition is "the state of being aware of or knowing something without having to discover or perceive it, or the ability to do this".

Are you intuitive?

Have you ever had a feeling that something was going to happen?  And, then it did?  What about the time you answered the phone, only to have the person you were just thinking about on the other end of the receiver?  Did you ever dream of someone you haven't seen in a long time and then run into them soon after?  Have you ever ignored when you felt a tug to take a different route home and then found yourself stuck in traffic, or worse yet, an accident?

Everything I've just described is intuition.  It doesn't have to be a huge or momentus event to recognize it; more often then not, intuition slips in and out of our awareness daily without the slightest inclination that we've tapped into it.

Being intuitive doesn't mean you have to be a professional psychic.  Actually, it's quite the contrary.  For example, just about anyone can hit a baseball with a baseball bat.  It's only a select few, however, that will make it to the big leagues to play with the Yankees.  It's the same with psychic's.  Not all people are meant to give readings professionally or to communicate regularly with dead people.  But, we are all able to connect to our intuition.

Why use your intuition?  Why not!

Our intuition opens us up to a wealth of knowledge and untapped guidance that can help us with every aspect of our lives.  The only thing holding us back is our inability to understand that intuition. Albert Einstein, a brilliant man once said, "The only real valuable thing is intuition.."

How do I recognize it?

Often, we are presented with symbols or signs to help us.  These signs can be strong, and in your face, or they can be subtle nudges to help us continue in a direction that keeps us on the right path.  Pay attention to those little signs.  They are there for a reason.   When we ignore our them it can make us feel like we are moving backwards, as though with every step forward we take two steps back.

Start noticing how you feel when you walk into a room.  Does it feel tense?  Or happy?  Pay attention to where you feel more comfortable when seated at a restaurant.  When you meet someone, do you feel angry? Or comfortable?

Listen to it!

You'll find the more you listen to your intuitive voice, or your gut instinct, the more balanced you'll feel and the more comfortable you'll be in your own skin.  It's not difficult to be intuitive; it's much harder to trust in your ability to do so.

Letting the vibes flow is easier once you move out of your own way.  The greatest athletes trust their gut; they know when to steal second base or pass the ball to a teammate rather than going for the goal themselves.  They allow instinct to take over.  Incredible artists, such as Van Gogh and Da Vinci have stated they channelled their creations.  Musicians often get lost in their music, so much so that after they replay the tape they have no idea where it came from.

Ready? Get set! GO!

Try it!  Go out today, and really pay attention to how you feel!  If you do what you want to do does it make you happy?  Are you wishing you were doing something else?  Turn on the tv and try and guess what will be on the screen as you do.  A person? Male, female?  A truck? Someones back yard?  Then, keep playing with it.  Change the channel, intuiting as you go!  Take it a step further and pursue your intuitive side.  Go do something that will help you develop it further!  Read a book! Take a walk!

You're ready to be the best you you can be!
