Community Corner

Lend-A-Hand, Mend-A-Home Program - Community Service Event

Each year, Ability Beyond Disability helps approximately 1,500 people with differing abilities to build a better life -helping them to find homes where they can live, providing supports they can count on, training them to work and then helping them to find jobs -- and above all, teaching them the skills needed to achieve their dreams.

During April, Starbucks partners in The Greater Danbury area will help maintain one of Ability Beyond Disability's group residences by doing some clearing, planting and landscape maintenance to help make the residents feel more at home.  This program will not only help these residents have a more comfortable place to live in our neighborhoods, but connect our partners with more members of our community.

This community event will take place on April 22nd from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Pound Sweet Hill Residence located at 8 Pound Sweet Hill, Bethel, Connecticut.
