Te Bethel Journals with Marc Moorash and Ava Dawn Heydt

Seraphmera Books, Marc Moorash and Ava Dawn Heydt, have created the most beautiful journals on six aspects of Bethel’s history: Barnum, Maps, Hatting, Buildings, Railroad and People. Marc will show slides and discuss the making of the journals and the history that he picked up along the way.

From Seraphemera: “Join us at Byrd’s Books at 7:00pm on Friday December 6th for a warm evening of local history and handmade journals. Think of it like having hot chocolate with good friends, only with words as the spoon and one hundred and fifty year old images as the delectable marshmallows!

Local bookmaker and publisher Seraphemera Books (Marc Moorash & Ava Dawn Heydt)will give a short presentation on their newest journals titled “a little history of Bethel” (and “a little history of Danbury”). These books combine two hundred pages of linen writing paper with archival images from the Bethel Historical Society and the Danbury Museum and Historical Society…creating themed blank books that give any writer a place to tell their tale in a tome entwined with their local history. A portion of the proceeds from each book sold goes to the upkeep and renovation of the illustious museums who have allowed us access to their collections.”
