The Bethel United Methodist Church has created "The Tree of Life - a Memorial of Lights", a fundraiser designed to raise funds to make the Church building handicapped accessible. A large Christmas tree has been set up on the front lawn of the Church, and area residents are offered the opportunity to sponsor a light on the tree. For $5 per light, people can write a message to honor a loved one (lit by a colored light), or in memory of a loved one who has passed (lit by a white light).
