7 Francis J Clarke Cir Bethel CT 06801  See map

The Bethel Spring Series returns to the Francis J Clarke Circle  for seven Sundays in March and April 2013, held under the auspices of USA Cycling, the national cycling federation. This Series has become the cornerstone spring event for many racers in the New England area, drawing folks from as far away as Vermont, New Hampshire, New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Jersey, and occasional guests from Canada and points south like Pennsylvania or Virginia.

The race uses the Francis J Clarke Circle for its course, traveling in a clockwise direction. We ask for everyone's safety that vehicles drive in a clockwise direction when driving on the loop during the Sunday races.

A Bethel Police Officer will be on hand to help handle traffic and radio equipped marshals will be on the course.

For those interested in racing please visit bethelspringseries.com. A USA Cycling license is required - they area available online at usacycling.org or at the race venue. Racers must abide by USA Cycling rules and regulations.

New racers (Category 5) are required to take the pre-race clinic each week. Details of each week's clinic plans are on the event site.

Registration is at 7 Francis J Clarke Circle or on bikereg.com. Entry fees are $25 or less for the day of race ($20 for women), and preregistration online is typically $20. Racers preregistering for the entire Series get a significant discount.

"Bethel teachers are not only educating students, but when society lets kids down, it’sRead More teachers who step in to fill the gap." Explain to me how an average salary of $60,000 per year for working 183 days during that year and an EXTREMELY generous retirement package (compared to the 240 a year the rest of us have to work) considered "society letting them down"?
