As part of our Grand Opening weekend celebration, Byrd’s Books is thrilled to welcome back puppeteer Anna Vargas for “Akimba and the Magic Cow”, an African tale of kindness, innocence and magic. We will have two shows on Sunday October 13th: at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
About the story:
Akimba is the poorest man in his village. One day he does a kindness for an old man and is given a magic cow. But, that’s just the beginning……Anna Vargas is the past president of Puppeteers of America, and taught puppetry at the Green Meadow Waldorf School in Spring Valley, NY for better than 15 years.The show is about 25 minutes, and is suitable for ages 4 and up – please be aware of age request from puppeteer.(Byrds Books reserves the right limit the number of attendees, and to ask a noisy or fussy child to be relocated to another part of the store)Find out what's happening in Bethelwith free, real-time updates from Patch.
