Bethel Votes in Municipal Elections Tuesday

Poll moderators are reporting strong, steady turnout throughout Bethel Tuesday, even having to put up more voting booths to accommodate the foot traffic.

Bethel voters are headed to the polls Tuesday for the biannual Municipal Elections, including races for First Selectman, Selectmen, Treasurer, Boards of Finance and Education, several Land Use boards and commissions and the Police Commission.

Polls will be open in the General Purpose room of the Municipal Center (voting Districts 1 and 4), Stony Hill Fire Department (District 2) and Frank A. Berry Elementary School (Districts 3 and 5) from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

And, for the first time this year, residents can register on election day in the Registrars of Voters Office. Election Day Registration votes will be recorded and counted similar to absentee ballots.
