Winter Storm Outlook: 2-4 Inches Expected Monday Morning

Snow develops around or after midnight tonight.

Today: Sunshine, clouds late. High: 36.

Tonight: Snow after midnight. Low: 22.

The Bethel area will see fair weather conditions early today, thanks to an area of high pressure. A wave of low pressure will move towards the area tonight. The storm will be quick to pass by the area, but will bring wintry weather to start the new week.

Today: A mixture of sunshine and clouds early today will quickly give way to increasing clouds by afternoon. Temperatures will be on the chilly side, but since winds will be a lot lighter, it won't feel nearly as cold as Saturday did.

Tonight: Skies will quickly become cloudy and some light snow will develop around or shortly after midnight. Periods of light to moderate snow will continue through the pre-dawn hours as a wave of low pressure approaches the area.

Monday: It should be snowing during the morning commute, but the snow will quickly come to an end during the morning. Although the precipitation may end as a very light wintry mix of sleet and possibly freezing drizzle, the vast majority should fall as snow.

2-4 inches of snowfall is expected for Monday morning.

Conditions will slowly improve by afternoon and as readings nudge to around freezing, some of the fresh snow may even melt a bit. Another wave of low pressure will pass along a frontal boundary later in the day, but that system will stay south of us. Nonetheless, mostly cloudy skies will continue into the evening hours.

Today: Sunshine, then some afternoon clouds. Highs in the mid-30s.

Tonight: Light to moderate snow and cold. Lows in the lower 20s.

Monday: Snow, ending by mid-morning. Highs in the mid-30s.
