Where to Shower, Charge, Get WiFi and More if You Still Don't Have Power

For those who don't have power, there are places in Bethel to get the little things back to normal.

Not having power, especially for several days, can be extremely fustrating and after Hurricane Irene, about half of Bethel is still in the dark.

To help, many businesses and town departments are trying to bring some comforts to people without power.

Looking for a hot shower? On Tuesday, Bethel's Parks & Recreation Department will have shower facilities available at the starting at 7 a.m.

While you're there, the first selectman's office is providing power strips for recharging phones, laptops or anything else during work hours, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. 

If you're looking to pamper yourself while you wait for the power to come back, is offering a free shower with any salon or spa service (203-743-9795).

Internet junkies can surf the web at the Bethel Public Library, who as of Monday evening said they will be operating at normal hours with power and WiFi.

If you're an Allstate customer and need to make an insurance claim, is open, has phones, internet and power. If you have claims to report with Allstate you can continue to call 1-800-54-STORM or the office at 203-743 7219. You can also stop in for assistance and hot coffee.
