Today: Hurricane Katia passes a few hundred miles to our east, keeping us on the dry side. In fact, temperatures warm up very nicely with highs in the lower 80s. Sunshine does mix with some clouds, but the rain stays far away.

Tonight: A very calm and tranquil night is on tap. For those late-night plans, temperatures look comfortable. Lows fall back into the upper 50s to around 60 degrees.

Saturday: Partly sunny skies could give way to an isolated shower or thunderstorm late in the day. The chance is only 40 percent and the day is mostly dry. High temperatures reach the upper 70s.
