Your Bethel area forecast details:

Today: The front that brought us unsettled weather on Thursday lifts towards our north and east. As some sunshine breaks through the clouds, it actually turns out to be a rather warm day. Afternoon highs reach the mid-70s, which continues to be about 10 degrees above normal for late September.

Tonight: An approaching cold front could push a few showers through the area. Temperatures start to cool off as lows drop back into the mid-50s.

Saturday: An interesting weather day to start the month of October. A few showers pass by throughout the day, but the big story is the temperatures. Highs reach the mid-60s around midday and readings sharply drop into the 50s by afternoon. In fact, 40s will be with us later Saturday night.

Sunday: One of the coolest days in quite some time is coming. A cool air mass from Canada only allows highs to reach the mid-50s. With lingering clouds, the sunshine will not be able to boost temperatures very much.

Monday and Tuesday: A modest warming trend back to seasonable weather is expected early next week. Under partly sunny skies, highs rebound into the low and mid-60s.
