Weekend Forecast and Beyond: Friday, May 6

Pleasant weather returns for much of the forecast.

Today: Sun and clouds, milder. High: 68.

Comfortable spring weather will be returning to the Bethel area over the next several days. Besides a weak storm system on Saturday, most of the forecast is dry and pleasant.

Today: After a cool start to the morning, temperatures are going to rise very quickly. Thanks to a good deal of sunshine, highs will top out in the upper 60s. It will feel much warmer than the last few days, so it will be a great day to enjoy any outdoor plans.

Tonight: Another cool night is expected, but it won't be nearly as chilly as Thursday night. A stray shower is also possible after midnight and lows are forecast to fall into the upper 40s.

Saturday: With a weak storm system passing through the area, clouds will be returning. Although a few isolated showers are possible, the day will not be a complete washout. With the clouds, it will also be seasonably cool, as highs top out in the mid-60s. It might not be a bad idea to have an umbrella handy through the day.

Sunday: The pick of the weekend will certainly be Sunday. With clouds breaking for some sunshine, a delightful day is expected. Highs are forecast to top out in the upper 60s to around 70 degrees.

Early next week: Tranquil weather conditions continue as we head into next week. It may also be turning milder as well, with highs making it into the lower 70s.
