Another winter storm moves in for Saturday.

Chilly weather affected the Bethel area on Thursday. Another chilly day is on tap for Friday, but clouds will increase ahead of the next winter storm. A wintry mixture of precipitation is expected to return by Saturday morning.

Tonight: Skies will eventually become cloudy and some light snow is expected to develop before daybreak. Temperatures will initially fall early this evening, but will begin to rise through the 20s as the clouds and snow move in.

Saturday: A storm system will move up the coast, but the forecast is still problematic. Although some snow is expected early Saturday, there is not a lot of cold air to work with. The snow will change to sleet and possibly even some plain rain. Although icing is not a major concern, there could even be some pockets of freezing rain. With high temperatures making it into the mid-30s, anything that accumulates would likely just be slush. Later in the day, the precipitation may change back to snow before ending.

At this point, 1 to 3 inches of slushy snow and sleet is expected.

Stay tuned to Patch for updates to this forecast. The storm looks to be a fast mover and without much cold air to work with, heavy amounts of snow and/or ice are not expected. Slightly more snow is possible if the storm track is further east than forecast.

Sunday and Monday: A momentary thaw is expected as highs will make it into the mid and upper 30s for both Sunday and Monday. Fair skies will be with us on Sunday, but clouds will increase during the day on Monday. A period of snow showers or light snow is possible by Monday night.

Tuesday: Skies look to turn partly sunny behind the passage of a cold front. Longer range forecasts indicate the possibility for some cold and stormy weather for the middle and latter portion of next week.

Today: Plenty of sunshine, a few clouds late. Highs in the lower 30s.

Tonight: Increasing clouds, light snow late. Lows in the upper teens.

Saturday: A wintry mix with some snow. Highs in the mid-30s.

Sunday: Sun and clouds, seasonable. Highs in the mid-30s.
