Weekend Forecast and Beyond: Friday, Feb. 25

Rain today, but snow returns by Sunday.

Today: Rain, heavy this morning. High: 48.

The Bethel area will experience a very wet and mild day today, as low pressure passes through the area. Once the low move eastward, windy and cooler weather will move in. The next storm will approach on Sunday, but snow is expected from that system.

Today: Rain will fall heavy at times this morning and temperatures will quickly rise through the 40s. It's going to feel a like more like late March than late February, as high temperatures make it into the upper 40s with a lot of rain. Winds will also become gusty by afternoon, but at the same time, rain will become lighter and more scattered.

Tonight: With low pressure passing north and east of the area, much cooler air will move in behind the storm. Windy conditions will continue, but the rain showers will likely change to a period of snow showers. Depending on how quick the changeover occurs, some areas could pick up around an inch of wet snow. Any precipitation will quickly come to an end and it will turn chilly overnight.

Saturday: Although the winds will be diminishing on Saturday, it will be quite chilly out there. Despite some some sunshine, high temperatures will only make it into the mid-30s. This is about 6 to 8 degrees cooler than normal for late February. By late in the day, skies will become cloudy again and light snow or snow showers will develop after midnight.
