Your Bethel area forecast details:

Today: High pressure keeps the storms away for now. Under a mixture of sunshine and clouds, high temperatures reach the lower 80s. With only moderate levels of humidity, it should be a relatively comfortable day. If you can get the day off, go for it. The weather turns more unsettled this weekend.

Tonight: Clouds start to increase as high pressure moves off the East Coast. Conditions should stay dry, but humidity levels begin to increase. Low temperatures fall into the mid-60s.

Saturday: Skies remain mostly cloudy, but there could be a few breaks of sunshine. Isolated showers and thunderstorms move through, mainly late in the day. High temperatures top out near 80 degrees, but it turns noticeably more humid.

Sunday: The best chance for rain comes for the second half of the weekend. Showers and thunderstorms are expected throughout the day and the rain could be heavy. This keeps daytime temperatures steady in the 70s.

Early next week: There is no sign of change for the extended forecast. A series of low pressure systems keep showers and thunderstorms as a possibility. High temperatures may rebound into the 80s, though.
