Your Bethel area forecast details:

Today: Sunshine is going to try to warm things up today, but it will ultimately spark a few showers and thunderstorms. Any rain will be scattered and the day will not be a complete washout. High temperatures top out near 80 degrees, with the best chance of rain coming this afternoon.

Tonight: Early evening showers will taper off after midnight. It actually turns less humid as some drier air tries to move in. Low temperatures fall into the mid-60s.

Saturday: Sunshine wins out to start the weekend, helping warmer air move in. Afternoon highs reach the low to mid-80s, but there could be an isolated shower or thunderstorm in a few spots.

Sunday: The warming trend continues and it will be somewhat muggy to end the weekend. High temperatures reach the mid-80s, but watch out for late-day gusty thunderstorms.

Monday: Depending on the speed of a cold front moving through, a bit of stormy weather could linger. The current forecast has highs in the lower 80s.

Tuesday: We are finally expecting drier, more pleasant air to move in. With sunshine and a few clouds, highs should be close to 80 degrees.
