Strong Thunderstorm on its Way for Thursday Afternoon

The National Weather Service is tracking a strong thunderstorm near Pawling, N.Y. that's moving east at 20 miles per hour. The storm could include "rainfall rates of up to one inch an hour."

This could cause ponding of water on roadways and minor flooding of poor drainage areas.

Lightning is also posing a threat. The NWS is ecouraging residents to move to shelter immediately if thunder is close by.
