NWS: Early Spring Winter Storm Possible Thursday into Friday

Connecticut may welcome April with several inches of snow.

According to the alert, a low pressure system will off the mid-Atlantic Coast Thursday afternoon and head for the Northeast through Friday. This may cause heavy snow, anywhere from 5-10 inches, with winds gusts up to 30 mph.

The NWS predicts that the wet and heavy accumulations could cause slippery roads and poor visibility for the Friday morning commute. Tree branches and power lines could also see damage.
