The Bethel area enjoyed a beautiful weekend, but changes are on the way. Periods of wet weather are in the forecast through mid-week, with the best chance of rain coming on Wednesday. Conditions should then improve towards the end of the week.

Today: As a storm system slowly approaches the area, skies will become overcast today. Temperatures will be noticeably cooler than the last few days, as highs are only forecast to reach the lower 60s. You may not necessarily need an umbrella, but a passing sprinkle or shower is possible during the afternoon.

Tonight: With a warm front approaching the area, a few passing showers are expected tonight. A modest warming trend will begin, as lows only fall back to around 50 degrees.

Tuesday: As the warm front slowly lifts through the area, warmer air will continue to move in. With breaks of sunshine, temperatures should rise through the 60s and approach 70 degrees. At the same time, a passing shower is possible at any point during the day.

Wednesday: The main storm system will bring periods of rain or at least some showers for Wednesday. The rain could be heavy at times, so this will be the least favorable day for any outdoor plans this week. Temperatures will also struggle to get out of the 50s with clouds and rain.

Late-week: Nicer weather conditions are finally expected for the end of the week. Clouds are forecast to break for some sunshine both Thursday and Friday, with highs in the low to mid-60s.
