Today: Temperatures will be noticeably cool today, as afternoon highs will only reach the mid-40s. Although this is close to average for mid-March, the region has been spoiled with mild weather over the past several days. Skies are expected to range from mostly cloudy to partly sunny, with more clearing as the day wears on.

Tonight: With high pressure moving in, skies will turn clear and a very chilly night is on tap. Temperatures are expected to fall into the 20s, so make sure you dress accordingly as you head out first thing Tuesday morning.

Tuesday: The moderation trend will begin on Tuesday, as high pressure moves east of the area. The wind flow will shift around towards the south and west, helping boost temperatures towards the 50 degree mark. This will also work to bring in more moisture ahead of the next storm system, so expect increasing clouds at night.

Wednesday: A weak disturbance is forecast to move through on Wednesday, bringing periods of light rain and rain showers. Most of the rain should fall between morning and early afternoon. Although widespread heavy rains are not expected, it will be a good idea to have an umbrella handy. Even with the clouds and rain, highs should top off in the lower 50s. Localized flooding is possible in areas currently experiencing any residual flooding.

End of the week: The storm will be history by Thursday and conditions are expected to turn very nice. Mostly sunny skies on Thursday should help boost temperatures into the 50s and Friday could very possibly hit 60 degrees or warmer. A storm system is possible towards the weekend, but either way, it should begin to feel a lot more like spring once again.

Today: A mix of sun and clouds, cool. Highs in the mid-40s.

Tonight: Clearing and turning chilly. Lows in the mid-20s.

Tuesday: Sunshine, more clouds at night. Highs around 50.

Wednesday: Scattered rain showers. Highs in the lower 50s.

Thursday and Friday: Sunshine Thursday, more clouds by Friday.
Highs in the mid-50s Thursday and up around 60 for Friday.
