Forecast For The Week of Monday, June 20

Summer is the first day of both summer and warmer weather.

Today: Fair skies and pleasant. High: 78

The official start of summer is on Tuesday, just in time for warmer air and more humidity in the Bethel area. A summer-like weather pattern will linger through Thursday, which will include scattered showers and thunderstorms each day.

Today: Enjoy the day as you can, because things will be changing as the week wears on. Very similar conditions to yesterday will set up, as sunshine mixes with just a few clouds. Afternoon highs will reach the upper 70s, which may be a couple of degrees below average, but is still rather pleasant.

Tonight: Skies will remain partly cloudy through the night. Temperatures will continue to be seasonably cool, as lows dip into the mid-50s. Keep an eye out on the roads, as there may be some patchy fog after midnight.

First day of summer: The warming trend begins on Tuesday, along with some higher levels of humidity. This could spark a shower or thunderstorm and highs are expected to bounce back into the lower 80s.

Wednesday: Conditions will turn rather humid and warm towards the middle of the week. This also means that the threat of a shower or thunderstorm continues, with afternoon highs in the mid-80s.

Thursday: At this point, it appears that more widespread showers and thunderstorms will become a possibility. The wet weather may keep temperatures a bit cooler, but the humidity will still be there.

Friday: The weather pattern may begin to break as we approach the weekend. As drier air tries to move in, humidity levels will drop off, but a leftover thunderstorm is still possible.
