Forecast For The Week of April 25: Warm Weather Finally Arrives

Today: Breaks of sun, shower? High: 69.

The Bethel area will enjoy warmer weather as we head through the next few days. More stormy conditions are expected later in the week, before cooler weather returns by weeks' end.

Today: Monday will be very similar weather day to Sunday. Clouds will break for some sunshine and a few isolated showers are possible. The best chance for any showers will be from afternoon into the evening. Highs are forecast to reach the upper 60s.

Tonight: With a frontal boundary slowly moving through the area, a few showers will pass through the area. It will remain mild, with lows in the mid-50s. This is about 10 degrees milder than average for late April.

Tuesday: A gorgeous day is on tap for Tuesday. With a mixture of clouds and sunshine, temperatures will soar into the 70s. If there is one day to make outdoor plans this week, it will certainly be Tuesday. The day should remain mostly dry, although more humidity will start to creep in.

Wednesday and Thursday: As a cold front approaches the area, more clouds will move in. A few showers and thunderstorms are possible on Wednesday, and more widespread rain is expected by Thursday. This will also be the start of cooler temperatures, although it will remain on the humid side.

Friday: The week is expected to end on a drier, but cooler note. Temperatures are forecast to slip back to seasonable levels to round out the week.
