Municipal Meetings

  • The Board of Education will be holding its first meeting of the month at 7 p.m. in Conference Room E at the municipal center (agenda).
  • The Energy Conservation Committee will hold a meeting at 7 p.m. in Meeting Room A at the municipal center (agenda). 
  • The Bethel Volunteer Fire Department will be meeting at the firehouse at 8 p.m. (agenda).

Events, Reminders, Notices

  • An Extra Long Weekend: A reminder to parents that Bethel Public Schools will be closed today and Friday for professional development days. Schools will also be closed Monday, Oct. 10 for Columbus Day.
  • Today's Flu Shots: The Bethel Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) will be holding  at the Newtown Health department located at 3 Primrose St. in Newtown from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. and at the Berry School in Bethel from 5-7 p.m.
  • Save a Suit: The Bank of America on 31 Grassy Plain St. is holding a  all week, with the goal to raise 500 suits for graduating students who can't afford professional clothes to interview. Donate a business suit or any professional attire for men and women and receive a tax write-off, a discount on your Club 24 membership and a $20 gift card to Hutton's in Ridgefield.
