Municipal Meetings

  • There will be a special meeting of the Inland Wetlands Commission tonight, at 7 p.m. in the Riordan room at the Municipal Center.

Events, Reminders, Notices

  • Debris Pick-Up: Today, the post-October snowstorm debris pick-up will be  in all roads west of Rt. 53/Nashville Rd./Greenwood Ave. to Danbury Town Line. Areas north and west of Greenwood Ave. to intersection of Plumtress & Whittlesey Drive to Danbury Town Line. Crews will be in the area for six days total, ending on Wednesday, Nov. 23.   • Food Drive: The CORE Club at BHS is sponsoring a Thanksgiving Food Drive to support disadvantaged families at the Women's Center of Greater Danbury. They will be collecting non-perishable goods from now until tomorrow, Tuesday, Nov. 22. Boxes are set up in the main lobby at the high school for donations. They are asking for: gift cards to Big Y and and Stop and Shop, canned veggies and cranberry sauce, stuffing, boxed potatoes and gravy, pasta and jarred sauce, non-perishable desserts, cutlery, napkins, paper plates and cups, children's crafts and reusable shopping bags for transporting the food to the families.
  • Save at Daily Fare: Today is the last day to save 10 percent on your Thanksgiving Daily Fare order. .
  • Basketball: From 6–7:30 p.m. at the Bethel High School, children in grades 2-8 can learn and improve basketball skills with BHS coaches and several current players. Tonight is the last of three clinics. Contact Stewart Teed 203-240-8808 or stewart.teed@gmail.com for more information.
