Pro-Second Amendment: The Invisible Militia

Much debate is occurring right now in our Nation, whether it is on electronic forums, Facebook pages, Twitter feeds, or within the diners of America. The Second Amendment is now under specific attack by the statists and progressives of our country who want us to evolve and be more enlightened. To accomplish this, they have demanded we stop adhering to our Constitution, since it is a dying document written by rich, old white men who were slave owners, and embrace a more diverse, loving, tolerant One Nation Mindset, full of rainbows, unicorns, free stuff, a God-less society, and free birth control/abortions for our women.

Like that is ever going to happen as long as the Second Amendment stands.

The Invisible Militia, indeed.

The statist argument says that the Second Amendment solely speaks to the allowance of Americans being part of a State-sponsored, well-regulated militia, to make sure that armed free citizens cannot have well-armed militias of their own, because free citizens simply don’t have that right.

I disagree.

Let’s lay this out there for all to see, shall we? I am part of the Second Amendment Society that has one purpose: We exist to fight against tyranny, be it from a domestic source or a foreign source. Period. There are many of us out here who live normal, quiet, and innocuous lives, taking care of our responsibilities, our obligations, and loving our families and neighbors. We pay our unjust taxes to corrupt governments, be they State or Federal. We shake our heads in disbelief at the machinations of the Socialists and statists who are in Congress and other positions of elected leadership, and wonder what the hell is happening to the Nation our grandparents and parents left for us to steward as they did.

Some of us write and broadcast these statist machinations, not to stop them, (for they are like a rolling snowball going downhill), but in the effort of waking people up so they can avoid being swept into this rolling snowball. We believe in self-reliance, helping our neighbors, properly maintaining our finances, and doing the right thing at all times due to our unwavering relational faith with the God of the Universe, Christ Jesus our King. We believe in a theocracy in the spiritual realm, and simply want proper governance in the natural realm. The two cannot be the same, however, for Jesus not once hinted He ever wanted to be a politician. For Him it would be a severe downgrade. The statists would have you believe we are demanding Jesus as President, and that we want to brainwash or force our religion on school children nationwide. Yeah, um, not quite.

We are legally armed. We do not, however, rob banks, burgle houses, shoot innocents for the sake of a gang initiation, or use them to threaten the lives or property of free Americans. We really just want to be left alone to pursue life, liberty and happiness. The problem arises, though, when we see any government try to take those things away from us.

This is why we are an invisible militia. We are legally armed, disciplined, controlled, and patient. We do not get easily rattled nor do we scream like victims when poked with sticks. We bear with the idiocy and vitriol of the statists and progressives, smiling to ourselves, knowing that in their impudence and petulance they are merely showing themselves to be utter jackasses.

We support The Second Amendment. We will not relent or be thrown off. We are a sleeping giant, indeed, simply seeking to live peaceable lives amidst a Nation that is being groomed to hate us. We smile, we open doors, we help carry your groceries, and we take the time to assist strangers when needed. But we are not doormats or milquetoasts. We are the invisible militia. We take notes, speak strongly, and share encouragement with one another. It’s what and who we are.

Yes, we are the invisible militia. We do not want to overthrow any governments. We do not wish to impose martial law. We do not wish to harm anyone. We are not out to take over. We want to be left alone. We want to live in peace. We follow the laws you put on us, and do our part as Americans. But don’t push it. Don’t keep giving us that tyranny vibe through your legislation and taxation. And seriously, leave the Second Amendment alone.

Tyranny will come. When, exactly? None of us know. But just please know this sleeping giant will roar awake when tyranny comes. And that which is now invisible will be very visible. We want peace, we do. We want to live free. But…well…only time will tell.
