Shut Down Government? - But Wait, It’s Treatable!

The “Countdown” clocks now appear on all the major news networks. Republicans and Democrats can’t agree to disagree. Both sides swear the other is all wrong. America sits on the precipice of yet another government shutdown, and we the people sit and stare at the 24-hour news channel as the talking heads pontificate the potential and possibilities that this latest series of leadership failures will have on the 2016 election.  But why you ask?

But in Congress, this condition (which is treatable) has wreaked havoc on the ability of one group to ponder the possibility that the other group might actually have a point.

Good news! This little condition, which also goes by the names of:  Belief disconfirmation paradigm, Induced-compliance paradigm, and Effort justification paradigm, is, in fact, very treatable through therapy and by promoting healthy and pro-social behavior. You know, like being a nice person to others even when you may not agree on something. 

Now it is our job, as the electors of those currently suffering from this condition, to remove them from the environment that has caused them to suffer by placing them into a suitable therapy program.

In order to help all the victims in congress currently suffering from this condition, We The People, will need to remove them from their stressful office environments and replace them with others that have not yet fallen victim to the condition. 

Usually, this must wait until the next election, but given the extraordinary circumstance of current, we may need to get them into therapy sooner.  So please, contact your congressman or women and let them know that you are here to help remove them from the office that caused their condition in the first place.
