BETHEL, CT, March 11, 2014, Rita’s Italian Ice®, the world’s largest Italian Ice concept with over 600 stores, has opened its newest store and is now scooping in Bethel, Connecticut at 180 Old Hawleyville Road. To celebrate the Grand Opening the First 50 Guests in line, who donate a pet supply to the Danbury Animal Welfare Society and stay in line until doors open, will win Free Rita's Ice for a Year!* Rita’s traditional Italian Ice is a smooth and delicious frozen treat made fresh daily with real fruit available in over 65 flavors.  All guests can enjoy a Free Regular Italian Ice on Friday, April 4th, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

The new 1000 square foot Rita’s Italian Ice in Bethel is owned and operated by franchisees, Joseph and Irene DeAngelis, who employ 22 “Treat Team” members from the local community.

All Guests who visit the new Rita’s Italian Ice for the Grand Opening will receive a free Regular Ice of their choice. Guests can choose from numerous Rita’s Ice flavors including the most popular, Mango, Cherry, Alex’s Lemonade, Swedish Fish®, and Cotton Candy, just to name a few!  If Guests want a bit more decadent treat, Rita’s Cream Ice, without the heaviness of ice cream, is offered in silky smooth flavors.  Health-conscious Guests can still enjoy a taste of Rita’s with Sugar-free flavors that are also available. 

Rita’s the “Home of Cool Treats” offers many delicious options in addition to Italian Ice; including Misto® Shakes - a combination of Italian Ice and Custard blended into a cool, creamy, delicious customizable treat, a personalized Blendini®, which is Old-Fashioned Frozen Custard and Italian Ice with your choice of mix-ins such as Snickers® blended together; or a Gelati, with your choice of Italian Ice layered with creamy Old-Fashioned Frozen Custard.
