Whistle Stop Bakery is the Latest Vendor at Farmers Market

The latest from the downtown farmers market.

Bethel's downtown farmers market's latest new vendor is the Whistle Stop Bakery. It will feature lots of fresh fruit pies, including organic rhubarb and strawberry with crumble top, blueberry peach, peach, fresh plum and chocolate truffle (served with fresh berries and whipped cream).

All their pies are made from scratch, by hand and are made with fresh (not canned or frozen) fruit of the season. The Whistle Stop Bakery is also planning to bring fresh Georgia peach cobbler, which is the perfect dessert to accompany barbecue. They will have lemon and raspberry bars and brownies, breakfast cookies, slices of blueberry, chocolate chip and apple teabread and chicken pot pies and fresh tomato and spinach quiche.

Make sure to also stop by today for some barbeque from Billy's Southern Style Barbeque, which will be back this week serving up the goods.
