Today Last Day For Farmers Market 2012

Last chance to pick up those delicious greens, caramels and homemade pies.

The nights are getting shorter and the evenings are getting cooler.  The kids are back in school and there is no denying that summer is giving way to fall.  But there is still one more day, today, to celebrate the bounty of summer at the Farmer's Market at the Municipal Center from 3-7 pm.

This Thursday will be the last Farmer's Market of the season. Come by to get your fill of BBQ or other tasty treats.  Stock up on vegetables, olive oil, meats, baked goods, and our other offerings.  Music this week will be provided by Ben Mikula from 3-5 p.m.

Buy up the hand-made cards and soaps as Christmas presents.  Pick up some of those cheesy pet treats that Fido seems to love, bring home some of those home made caramels and pies.

It will be hard to say good-bye to the wonderful offerings Bethel has had available all summer long, so make your way downtown one more time.  You know you'll miss them when they are gone.

"Bethel teachers are not only educating students, but when society lets kids down, it’sRead More teachers who step in to fill the gap." Explain to me how an average salary of $60,000 per year for working 183 days during that year and an EXTREMELY generous retirement package (compared to the 240 a year the rest of us have to work) considered "society letting them down"?

It was a great job Mike and the EDC did on keeping the jobs from Cannondale from leaving Bethel. TooRead More bad Paul Z. won't have the guts to ask you about it on this "lively" show.

Billy: Since I don't own a beat up 1998 Honda (rather, a non-beat up, rather nice, rather newRead More European sedan) does that mean I would have been immune to the seduction of the reduction in my property taxes? Just trying to follow your logic here...
