Bethel Unemployment Rises to 6.7 Percent

There are 746 unemployed people in town.

Bethel's October unemployment rate rose from 6.5 percent in September to 6.7 percent in October, according to the state Department of Labor.  The number of unemployed people is down from a July high of 7.4 percent.

The statewide unemployment rate rose a tenth of a percentage point in October up to 9 percent.
