A Second Snap Fitness Location to Open in Bethel Today

The new Snap Fitness will open in Downtown Bethel Monday morning. The first 100 people to sign up will be upgraded to charter members.

Snap Fitness will open a second gym in Bethel today, at 9 Durant Ave. in the Chase Plaza. According to co-owner Lisa Rosado, this newest location will provide convience and greater accessibility to gym-goers living downtown.

Rosado and her husband Hector also own Snap Fitness locations in Danbury and Ridgefield, and decided to open their next gym in Bethel after seeing the lack of gyms in the area.

"We started noticing, unfortunately, that several businesses were leaving the Greenwood Avenue area and that it was missing a 24 hour type gym," Rosado said. "Since then, we've received an overwhelming response, simply through word of mouth. Everyone is so excited, saying they needed this downtown."

After moving from the Bronx to the Danbury area three years ago, Rosado said her and her husband wanted to work toward their dream of opening a business. After doing some research that included his love for exercise, Rosado said Hector discovered that Snap Fitness was one of the top growing franchises in the country.

Rosado said what sets the gym apart is not only being open 24 hours, seven days a week, but also its attitude when working with clients.

She said: "Snap Fitness really believes in helping others achieve their fitness goals. We work with clients and their medical and fitness history to create individual plans for them."
