What You Need To Know About School Lunch This Year

Bethel schools have released a list of the state's revised income guidelines for free or reduced-price lunch.

When students return to school in Bethel, some may be eligible for free (or reduced-price) meals or milk under the National School Lunch and School Breakfast program. The state has a new set of income guidelines that may affect some families in town.

Children whose families' income is at or below the levels listed (check the attached PDF) can receive free or reduced-price meals and milk.

Application forms are sent home with children for parents to review. School finance director Theresa Yonsky will review applications and determine eligibility. Bethel uses eligibility guidelines established by the USDA, based on family size and income criteria.

The first day of school in Bethel is August 28.
