On Saturday, July 21st at 5:00 p.m. (during Bethel’s Sidewalk Sales), Connecticut authors Eric D. Lehman & Amy Nawrocki will be at Byrd’s Books to host a special Connecticut wine-tasting event and discuss their book, A History of Connecticut Wine. Also, on hand will be their newest title, “The History of Connecticut Food”.

This free event will take place at 5:00 p.m. in the Upstairs Gallery at Molten Java and in the bookshop- beginning with a slide show and discussion by the authors! Since space is limited, registration is required for this author event.

You can register to attend by calling (203) 730-2973, or by email atevents@ByrdsBooks.com. The wines featured will be from Hopkins and DiGrazia Vineyards. Caraluzzi’s – Nutmeg Discount Liquors will provide descriptions of the wines at hand, and anyone placing an order for wine the night of the event will receive a 10% savings from Nutmeg!

"Bethel teachers are not only educating students, but when society lets kids down, it’sRead More teachers who step in to fill the gap." Explain to me how an average salary of $60,000 per year for working 183 days during that year and an EXTREMELY generous retirement package (compared to the 240 a year the rest of us have to work) considered "society letting them down"?
