Story Hour With Jessie

Byrd’s Books is hosting another children’s story hour with Jessie on Tuesday, June 6th at 10 a.m. The story hour will take place in the upstairs gallery at Byrd’s Books & Molten Java.

To honor the life of Maurice Sendak, the story will be his timeless classic Where the Wild Things Are.

In this Caldecott Medal winner, Max, a wild and naughty boy, is sent to bed without his supper by his exhausted mother. In his room, he imagines sailing far away to a land of Wild Things. Instead of eating him, the Wild Things make Max their king.
