DAWS Festival & Walk for Animals

A Fun and Fabulous Event for the Whole Family

Our annual Festival & Walk for Animals is a fun-filled day for the whole family - especially the dog(s)!  This year we will once again be at the Fairfield County Agricultural Extension Council facility on Stony Hill Road.  You will experience new activities, including an extended walk, training demonstrations and seminars, action-packed contests, and shopping with lots of vendors.

  • Fastest Eater: who will clean their plate first?

  • Family Fun Zone: because everyone just wants to PLAY - Face Paining, Spin Art, Carnival type games
  • Feline Fans House: Sure, we know our adoptable shelter cats don't want to walk with the dogs, but they'd like you to visit them in the Feline Fans House

Walk Guidelines

  • Dogs must be in good physical condition, altered, and up to date on all vaccinations
  • All dogs must wear an ID tag and be on a leash
  • Walkers must clean up after their dogs
  • Dogs must be people and dog friendly
  • Walkers under 16 must be accompanied by an adult
  • Adoptable cats can be viewed at our new Feline Fans House, but cats cannot partake in the Walk.
