Discover Bethel Restaurant Week February 27-March 4th

Join in for a prix fixe three-course dinner at many of Bethel's eateries

During the week of February 27 to March 4th, lovers of all things Bethel will have an opportunity to sample all of the wares from many of Bethel's food and dining establishments.

"This is the first year that Bethel will be holding Restaurant Week, which is celebrated at cities and towns all over the country," Bobbi Jo  Beers, Executive Director of Bethel's Chamber of Commerce, said.

One of the restaurants, Rizzuto's, is busy planning their menu for the late Feruary event.  "We are going to be doing a prix fixe menu at $25 per person," Jeff Hodson, manager, said.

Many of the restaurants will offer three course meals at a prix fixe and there are no guidelines for price. “This first week is our “Let's Get Our Feet Wet”, from delis to coffee shops to fine dining; anybody who sells food,” Beers said.

The Chamber of Commerce will have a website page that will show which restaurants will be participating. That page will be constantly updating their lists of all participating restaurants.  “It's amazing in a small town like Bethel to have so many eateries!” Beers said with enthusiasm. "I sent out information to 50 Bethel restaurants."

Restaurants that have already signed up include:

"Bethel teachers are not only educating students, but when society lets kids down, it’sRead More teachers who step in to fill the gap." Explain to me how an average salary of $60,000 per year for working 183 days during that year and an EXTREMELY generous retirement package (compared to the 240 a year the rest of us have to work) considered "society letting them down"?
