Bethel Community Reacts to Cat Struck by Car

Readers talked about one Bethel road in particular and said cars often speed on it. Are there roads in town where you see people speeding more often?

On Friday night, Bethel Patch received a message via Facebook. A Rockwell Road resident said an orange tabby cat had been struck by a car outside their home.

This isn't the first time this year that a cat was struck on that road. Reader Kris Heck Correard said: "It would be nice if everyone would slow down on Rockwell Rd. Our cat was hit in April."

It's not just cats either.

"I agree — it would be nice if folks slowed down on Rockwell — someone hit a deer a couple of months ago and a policeman had to come and put it down," said Alice Hutchinson. "It was hit 50 feet from the end of the road- so you know they were hauling (and never stopped)."

Are there roads in town where speeding tends to occur more often? What do you feel are some of the most problematic roads in town?
