Bethel Charity Fundraiser "Cyclefest 2014" Planned for June 8

Reported by Paula Antolini

REGISTRATION NOW OPEN: CYCLEFEST JUNE 8, 2014

The 22nd Annual CycleFest will take place on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Bethel Middle School (Bethel, CT). CycleFest is one of the oldest, safest and most scenic self-paced charity rides in Western CT. Proceeds from the event will benefit Danbury Youth Services’ Earn-A-Bike, a program that gives disadvantaged kids the chance to own their very own bicycles.

All routes will be patrolled by SAG wagons and well marked.
The CycleFest team is working hard to make this year’s event a positive and enjoyable experience for you. Let them know if you have any questions or suggestions for them.

Registration:
Registration is open from 7AM – 9:30AM. All riders must be off course by 5PM EST.  We're once again suggesting start times so that riders can connect with others  who have also chosen the same route option. Suggested start times: 105 mile - 7:30AM; 80 mile  - 8:00AM; 54 mile - 8:30AM;   23 mile - 9:00AM;   14 mile - 9:30AM.

Cyclefest Socks:
All pre-registered riders will receive a pair of Cyclefest socks.  Cyclefest socks will provided to day of entrants as supplies last.  Additional socks may be purchased above.

Course Options:
Riders are free to change the course length the day of the event. Choosing course when you register allows organizer to properly staff aid stations.

16 and Under:
Children 16 and under must register with an adult. Children may ride the loop of their choice.

Proceeds:
Proceeds from Cyclefest benefit Danbury Youth Service's Earn-a-Bike Program. http://www.danburyyouthservices.org/programs/earn-a-bike/
