Sen. Michael McLachlan Welcomes Teen Leaders to State Capitol

On Feb. 27, Sen. Michael McLachlan hosted TeenPact students at the Legislative Office Building.

TeenPact’s mission is to train youth to understand the political process, value their liberty and faith, and engage in current events.  Sen. McLachlan explained the legislative process to the students and urged them to stay involved in the issues which impact their daily lives.   On the web: www.teenpact.com .

“TeenPact students are our future leaders, and I always enjoy meeting with them and answering their questions about their state government,” Sen. McLachlan said.  “By coming here to the State Capitol complex, they see the legislative process come to life.  I believe the TeenPact experience makes these students better leaders and better positions them to impact the world around them. Many students leave TeenPact events inspired and challenged to change our state and country for the better.”

Sen. McLachlan (www.senatormclachlan.com) represents Bethel, Danbury, New Fairfield and Sherman.  He can be reached at 860 240-0068 or at Michael.McLachlan@cga.ct.gov .

"Bethel teachers are not only educating students, but when society lets kids down, it’sRead More teachers who step in to fill the gap." Explain to me how an average salary of $60,000 per year for working 183 days during that year and an EXTREMELY generous retirement package (compared to the 240 a year the rest of us have to work) considered "society letting them down"?
