Family Advocacy Night

“One of the purposes of the meeting will be to bring new families together to connect and network with other families, provide resources and tools for families to connect with advocacy groups and to understand the politics behind funding,” says Alice Meenan, Family Outreach Coordinator at Ability Beyond Disability.

The evening will feature guest speakers, including Alice Meenan of Ability Beyond Disability, Leslie Simoes, Director of Advocacy at  The Arc Connecticut, Walt Glomb of Family Empowerment Task Force and Shirley Ricar, Executive Director of WeCAHR.

Information and Referrals representatives from Ability Beyond Disability will be present to answer questions and provide information on the organization’s programs and services.
