Photo Gallery: Celebrating Art at the Johnson School

Johnson School fifth graders gifted painted stools to their former teachers.

On Monday morning, Johnson School Art Teacher Tamarah McCue and several fifth grade students celebrated the end of the school year and the end of a two year art project.

These students worked in groups and teams to paint several wooden stools and presented them to Johnson 4th grade teachers as gifts to use in their classrooms.

McCue said she had the students take a famous painting and replicate it on to each of the stools. Besides learning different skills with painting, she said her students will also take pride in that they created something that will last.
