Bethel Hiker Rescued in New Hampshire

The following is a report from the Associated Press.

A Bethel woman was rescused Wednesday evening after hiking the Appalachian Trail in Gorham, N.H., according to the Associated Press.

Ruth Dobsevage, 66, was on a 10-day hike when she fractured her ankle. The report said "a 20-member rescue team climbed five miles up the Carter Moriah trail after getting a report that a woman hiking alone was injured."

Dobsevage was then transported and treated at a nearby hospital at around 11 p.m. Wednesday.

The AP reported that the rescue team was made up of Fish and Game conservations officers, members of the Appalachian Club and Androscoggin Valley Search and Rescue.
