Connecticut Foundation for Dental Outreach (CDFO) in collaboration with the Connecticut State Dental Association (CSDA) is providing a free dental clinic for underserved and uninsured in Connecticut - The Connecticut Mission of Mercy is affectionately referred to as CTMOM. The two day clinic provides free dental care to the underserved and uninsured in Connecticut – those that would otherwise go without dental care. Oral health is inseparable from general health and can affect a person’s self-esteem, compromise their ability to work, attend school and lead a normal life.

CTMOM 2012 March 23- 24, Clinic opens at 6 a.m.

Molten Java and Byrd's Books Grand Opening, Saturday March 24

Byrd's Books is fortunate to welcome Bethel author Thomas J. Craughwell, who will give a talk on his latest book, "The Greatest Brigade". 

Said of the book, It "is an exciting journey through the major battles of the Civil War alongside the members of the famed Irish Brigade. Well researched, compellingly written, filled with facinating illustrations, and a story that holds the reader with a 'bulldog grip'."

At the conclusion Tom will sign copies of "The Greatest Brigade" and "Stealing Lincoln's Body".

This event talkes place in the Upstairs Gallery at Molten Java- across the hall from Byrd's Books.

A monthly Saturday storytime program featuring stories, songs or fingerplays, a short Video/ DVD or craft.

For Bethel children 3 – 8 years old who are able to sit alone without an adult. No registration required. Due to space limitations parents/caregivers may not sit with the children, but are required to remain in the library during the storytime.
